Action, Experience & Impact: How Seniors Will Revitalize Volunteerism
Sunday, April 19, 2026 | 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn Campus | SSG Miller Homeland Security Education Center (HEC)
As organizations face unprecedented challenges, and volunteer participation declines nationwide, this keynote examines what’s changed, how we arrived here, and what can be done. Focusing on the unique skills and experience of seniors as an untapped solution, the talk offers insight into how older adults can lead, mentor, and reenergize volunteer efforts. Seniors have always demonstrated service to our communities through their impactful example. Today, that leadership is needed now more than ever before. Ms. Trivedi posits how seniors will be essential in turning the tide and boosting volunteer engagement to strengthen the social fabric of our country.
